PetroCup Training Course for Sofoil Business Development Managers

From August 24 to 26, a PetroCup training course was held in Kuala Lumpur — the first event of its kind in the history of the ARAX Group, organized specifically for international specialists!

The goal of the training was to develop and refine skills in cost-effective field development.

Over three days, participants worked with the PetroCup simulator, which enables the development of a synthetic oil field by:

• identifying inaccuracies in data interpretation,
• detecting hidden reserves,
• pinpointing inefficient injection and oil production,
• properly redistributing injection,
• planning new well drilling and sidetracks.

Based on the obtained data, the team carried out a full set of well intervention and stimulation activities— near-wellbore treatments, acidizing, hydraulic fracturing, water shutoff, and other operations.

The final day of the training took place in the legendary Petronas Twin Towers, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. It was here that Sofoil specialists conducted the PetroCup Tournament debriefing, discussing results, analyzing gameplay, and summarizing key takeaways.

As a result, the Sofoil team achieved an outstanding score of 76 points, demonstrating a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and strategic thinking!
