Sofoil Participated in the XV International Well Testing Forum
On April 7–8, the XV International Well Testing Forum, organized by the Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Business, was held in Moscow.
On the first day of the forum, Danila Gulyaev from Sofoil delivered a presentation on reservoir pressure evaluation technology based on well pressure and production analysis using multiwell deconvolution.
The following key points received strong interest from the audience:
- analysis of bottom-hole pressure and production rate dynamics helps evaluate interwell interference and optimize well production and injection targets;
- reservoir pressure can be assessed without well shut-ind and without production deferment;
- the technology was successfully applied on carbonate and terrigenous fields in Russia and abroad international fields under various geological conditions.
The second day of the forum focused on analyzing the results of applying new reservoir surveillance regulations. Particular interest was generated by Gulyaev’s presentation comparing new reservoir pressure evaluation approaches with traditional methods, showing that despite being applied in different geological conditions, the discrepancy did not exceed 3%.
We thank the forum organizers for the opportunity to present our research, discuss current industry challenges, and strengthen professional connections!
