Sarawak, Malaysia: Symposium on Maximising Carbonate Asset Values through Collaboration and Innovative Solutions
On 29-30 October 2018 the beautiful city of Bintulu (Sarawak, Malaysia) has hosted a Symposium on Maximising Carbonate Asset Values through Collaboration and Innovative Solutions.
The Symposium organized by EAGE has gathered Petroleum Engineering professionals from across the world.
Oil companies, service companies and academic society have been sharing their experience in geological studies, reserves evaluation and surveillance of complicated carbonate reservoirs.
Sofoil was represented by head of Reservoir Study Group - mr. Vladimir Krichevsky, invited as a panel expert.
During the panel session, lead by Dr. Rahim Massoudi (MPM), Vladimir has shared his experience and vision of derisking carbonate projects with advanced surveillance.
His key point is that dynamic data analysis technologies have taken a giant step in last 10 years, and next steps are coming.
So in the future only those companies who now invest in advanced surveillance, like PDG's and fiber-optic DTS, moving towards a "digital field" concept, will fully benefit from inevitable technological evolution.
