Sofoil featured at the annual SPE exhibition

During the 82nd EAGE conference - biggest geoscience event in the world that took place in Amsterdam, Sofoil in collaboration with Irkutsk Oil Company (INC) presented an article on "Waterflood Analysis with Pulse-Code Pressure Interference Testing in Eastern Siberia Carbonate Reservoirs".

The article conveyed results of the pulse-code interference testing technology validation on synthetic tests as well as real reservoirs in Eastern Siberia. The result showed a high reliability of PCT results without shutting in receiving wells when determining the presence of sealing faults, identifying the distribution of reservoir permeability and determining the reservoir sweep efficiency. An extensive list of recommendations has been advised regarding the optimization of the pressure support.
