Project MRT @ Irkutsk Oil Company

Sofoil completed a project for Irkutsk Oil Company (INK) involving Multiwell Retrospective Testing (MRT) to identify production enhancement opportunities.

The project was conducted across multiple zones operated by INK. For each zone, Sofoil recommended adjustments to production targets - primarily on injection wells, to enable redistribution of injected volumes. Additionally, specific wells were selected for stimulation to enhance reservoir recovery.

The MRT surveillance resulted in a measurable boost in oil and liquid production. Reservoir pressure was assessed without requiring any well shut-ins.

The project outcomes were presented at the GeoBaikal Conference in March 2023 and at the SPE Conference(Baku) in November 2023.
