description

Multiwell Retrospective TestingTM is a PolyGon software aided workflow based on the correlation between bottomhole pressure and flowrates history. It uses a multi-well pressure deconvolution technique to estimate the potential drainage volumes, boundary types and their proximity, reservoir transmissibility and cross-well connectivity. It reconstructs the history of formation pressure and productivity index. It provides a lot of constraints for future reservoir modelling. It also helps to identify wells with suboptimal performance and propose a relevant surveillance.

APPLICATIONS
Production Enhancement
  • Locating priority zones for the new wells and side-tracks
  • Selecting priority candidates for workovers (water shut-off, stimulation, fracturing)
  • Optimize production targets
  • Identifying the best candidates for converting to injection
Reservoir Study
  • Assessing the length and orientation of hydraulic fractures
  • Identifying the presence of spontaneous fractures
  • Assessing fault conductivity
  • Localizing the barriers and pinch outs
  • Calibrating shale breaks
  • Quantification of the cross-well interference
  • Quantification of reservoir properties in cross-well interval
  • Quantification of reservoir properties in near-well area
  • Reconstructing the history of formation pressure and productivity index
  • Adjusting the random mistakes in flow rate history records

ADVANTAGES
  • No field operations and no production deferment
  • Reconstruction of formation pressure and productivity index history
  • Reconstruction of cross-well interference history
  • Immunity to random mistakes in rate history records
  • Сomplication's diagnosis at an early stage
