Technologies, developed by Sofoil, significantly improve the efficiency of side-track drilling in mature fields by enabling precise oil saturation evaluation in crosswell intervals using Pulse Code Testing (PCT).

In areas planned for infill drilling, Sofoil specialists carry out integrated surveillance to determine average oil saturation across crosswell intervals. This surveillance program has been ongoing since 2017. Since then, not a single well drilled by operating companies - based on Sofoil’s full PCT surveillance package and recommended well placement—has encountered any swept reservoir zones in areas where the surveillance was performed.

These consolidated results have been presented at leading industry forums, including the SPE Conference in SPE Conference in November 2022 in Nur-Sultan, at the SPE Conference in October 2020 in Bali and other events.
